I grew up in a rural, small town where we played outside until the sun went down. There was no internet and no video games, and every neighbor knew every other neighbor’s name. We played in the river, built forts in the woods, we rode our bikes for miles all around the neighborhood. We were taught to help each other not to cuss and not to fight. We were made to be respectful and to always do what’s right. I’m not saying it was idyllic I was young and wanted free But now I’m thankful for Those values taught to me.
