Today, I bought a cookie. Well, actually, two cookies. They were both sugared. Ugh. As a kid, we eat healthier; if our parents know what’s good for us. Then, as adults, we have the freedom and liberty to eat whatever, whenever. I am always consciously working on this and beginning to discuss other people’s diets to inspire my own. But I just want too much sugar. It’s all I crave.
Anyhow, I bought two cookies. They were delicious. One sprinkled, the other, a snickerdoodle. I had just finished the sprinkled and had one more bite of the snickerdoodle when I suddenly noticed that there were more sprinkles, (my favorite part) at the bottom of the bag! So I crinkle the wrapper, like you would a bag of chips, and let the remains, or was about to, when I suddenly and accidentally dropped the rest of my last bite of snickerdoodle.
I seriously thought about still eating it from the ground, but other people were present. So I just threw it away in the bag after I shoveled and dumped the last sprinkle.
Luckily, I was already full from cookies. But I did lose out on that last bite. What does it all mean?

Man, my heart broke when you dropped that cookie because it’s so relatable. Honestly if I drop food, I carry it for a few minutes then eat it when nobody is looking. That’s the problem with sugar and fats though- the more we eat, the more we crave it. Food is literally addicting and it’s a true love/hate relationship.
What does it all mean? Besides a story about cookies, you could argue that it’s a story about life, and greed. You were so excited for those colorful, tasty sprinkles you missed out on the last bite of cookie. And ultimately you lost out on both.
Awesome. I really did almost just eat it.
I was thinking it was about greed as well. Or gluttony. I had that perfect bite of cookie left, and then got so excited by the sprinkles like you said and then dropped the rest of the snickerdoodle. Perhaps one cookie would have been better, because I was okay to throw away the remainder of the second one due to being full anyways.
Funny one!Enjoyed it a lot!
Thank you so much! I was inspired from your stories when I posted this, because it’s a true story and it brought an emotional response.
