How I long for the day that my ship shall come in,
So I can climb aboard and let it take me with the wind
This place is so dull and some see my life as forgotten
It’s all a jumbled mess, but it’s my fault I got caught in
Ever so many thoughts and words and just too little time
Writing line after line hoping that something may rhyme
You call me and I say, yeah man I’m doing fine
I’m sorry I didn’t mean that, my sorrow rings as a chime
The days have ended for my night time cigarette break
And tonight if I die I pray the Lord my soul He will take
I’m trying my best, but sometimes it doesn’t feel probable
But I know that with my God absolutely anything is possible
So I leave you with this, a word of wisdom from the sick
Will you search and find that thing that makes you tick?
Chase your dreams, never give up and reach for the sky
Trust me on this, that feeling far surpasses any artificial high

This is a poem I’m sure a lot of people can relate too. It doesn’t seem like such a big problem at first glance, not doing something we really love or being in a place we don’t really like, but it can really eat away at a person’s soul. This was a great poem about a really meaningful topic.
Thanks I really appreciate the feedback it means a lot to me.
