She clears her sight from the many tears
She washes the pain from the countless years
How long ago that she was broken
By the meaningless lies that she heard spoken.
The mirror is her greatest war
She pounds her head against the floor
Trying to make it go away,
But the memories always seem to stay.
The beauty within, it is not seen,
For she sees herself as cold and unclean.
She does not see her worth truthfully
For when I catch a glance,
Her light will never flee.
I love you dear, in every light
There is nothing more perfect in my sight.

Another great one! The last two lines are really beautiful and remind me of how we should talk to yourselves every day. No matter what we go through or what we’ve done, we must love and forgive ourselves for the years to come!
Absolutely. I wrote this poem for my best friend when she was having a tough time, so it really means a lot to me:)
