This poem is dedicated to Foster Parents
and the commitment they have made
to care for foster children.
” You Make A Difference “
Your days are filled with hustle and bustle,
you seem to always be on the go,
You shuffle your schedules and eat your lunch quickly,
for you know, you can’t go slow…
You take children to appointments, and you make
sure they get to school every day,
You take them to visit their siblings and parents,
and it’s their hearts you must not delay…
Sometimes you ask questions, and
don’t always leave with a smile,
You’re left with feelings of frustration,
yet you continue to go that extra mile…
Your every day life moves forward,
and you take one day at a time,
You do what you need to for the children
for it’s their future, you must not decline…
Caring for children can be demanding, and
your hearts may not take a rest,
But caring for children is also rewarding,
for this job, is what YOU do best…
Being a Foster Parent is not easy, and
at times, may not be any fun,
But don’t let this discourage you, for the
difference you make, can be in just ONE…
