Warm rain hits my young face
as the gentle breeze passes by
It’s almost as if I could feel the moist soil thrust out tiny buds of life
from under the damp, cool earth
I can hear the birds chirping; softly as they gracefully fly out to look for sustenance to nourish their newfound nestlings.
The soft, lush green grass tickles my feet as I stand there, admiring the true beauty of spring
as the old oak tree bursts out new, vibrant leaves.
All this change from the gloomy and gray winter resembles a kind, youthful spring.
