Lydia and Martha were two middle-aged women who were best friends. On one winter afternoon, they were sitting in Lydia’s living room and sipping on hot cocoa as they talked about whatever came to mind. Their kids, husbands, careers. It was a peaceful time for them to just kick back and chat. At least it was until the unexpected happened. A huge buck crashed right through the window.
“Oh my God!” cried Lydia.
Shards of glass flew everywhere. The buck landed on a coffee table and split it in half. Neither the window nor the coffee table diminished the bucks energy. He never stopped moving. The destruction continued from portraits being knocked off the walls, to vases being shattered, and furniture being flipped over. In only a matter of seconds, it looked like a bomb went off in the room. Lydia and Martha were freaking out the whole time. Martha even dropped her cocoa which added further damage by staining the carpet.
“We gotta get out of here!” Martha screamed frantically.
They both darted to the backdoor with no time to throw coats on. The cold didn’t bother them anyway. They were too shocked to worry about it.
“What should we do?” asked Martha.
“I’ll dial 911.”
Lydia pulled out her phone and made the call. Almost immediately, Lydia heard a female dispatcher speak.
“911, what is your emergency?”
“Hi. A big ol’ buck just broke into my house.”
