CH. 19
There was a brief silence before Gray, still holding onto Silas, looked up at the sky. In that dark sky, in a different place, a place they had never seen before, two moons sat. Of these two moons one was full, one was half, and both were neon pink. Gray could not believe his eyes. He then looked at the girl who sat before him, dagger in her hand, dress torn and ragged, hair drenched from the rain that was just now letting up. What stood out the most though, wasn’t her hair, nor her supernatural violet eyes that stared at the boys widely, without blinking. It was what appeared to be wings that draped down her back. He then broke out into a loud cackle. He laughed until his eyes welled up with tears. He then put a hand over his mouth and eyes and still laughing he spoke in a muffled voice. “You have to be fucking with me right?” He peeked through his fingers and laughed some more. “Silas I’m dreaming right now correct?” The girl still sat there completely dumbfounded. “Um..” Silas spoke up. “I’m afraid this is no dream Gray.” Gray just could not accept that this was indeed reality. He laughed some more. “My ribs hurt,” he cackled.” grabbing his stomach. He pointed at the girl and said, “If this is real, then we must have fallen into Lord of the Rings or some shit because right now I’m staring at a damn elf, look at her ears!” He just continued to laugh hysterically.” This time the girl scrunched her face irriated and said, “I’m a fairy dumbass.” Gray tried to hold it in, but he burst back out, “Even better a damn fairy!! HAHAHA!!” She then pointed the dagger at Gray. “Um Gray..” Started Silas holding onto him more tightly, “This is no laughing matter. We really are in a different place. In fact, it appears to be a different world.” Gray stopped laughing. “Also this chick is holding a weapon, so uh please stop laughing because it appears I didn’t exactly remember to grab my freaking MG 43 from home.” Gray froze. It was just too much to take in. The portal at Silas’s, the vision of his mother and father, and this new world. “Can you stand?” Spoke Silas, rising to his feet. He began to pull Gray up. As Gray began to rise, an arrow flew by them so close they could feel the wind off of it. Startled they stared at the girl pointing an arrow right at them. Hold it right there!” Her hands, not used to the bow trembled as her right one drew back another arrow. “You tell me right now what two humans are doing here!! Because the next one is not going to miss!” Both of the guy’s hands went into the air as if they were being arrested. “Hold on!” Silas fumbled through his pockets with one hand and held onto a trembling Gray with the other. He then held out the Grey stone that had opened the portal and had transported them there. The girl began to lower the bow, arrow still drawn back, hands trembling more and more. “Where did you get that?!?” She exclaimed. Silas pushed Gray onto the ground. “What in the hell Sil….” Before he could finish he watched as Silas swiftly extended his leg kicking the bow out of her hands. The arrow shot straight up leaving the bow to fall at Silas’s feet. She fell backwards from the withdraw. Silas calmly picked up the bow then kneeled in front of her. “Why should I answer questions from a girl who can’t even handle a bow properly?” He smiled as she panted with fear. “Now. I am just as flustered as you are, but you almost killed someone very very dear to me. He kept smiling as he placed the bow back into her hands. “I am however thankful for your help in rescuing him. “However, I refuse to have mercy on ANYONE who intends to inflict harm upon him.” He grabbed her by the hand and began to pull her up. “So rather than threats, don’t you think it is more polite to begin with introductions hmm?”
