Orange, brown, yellow, raked, piles of oak leaves made hours of fun for my brothers and me. Field of green and yellow golden rod, resplendent in the sun bent a wake to our feet as through it we would run. Wading barefoot in the creek at the edge of town. Playing hide-and-go-seek until the sun went down. Building forts in the woods from saplings bent and tied walled and roofed with sticks and leaves made a great place to hide. In the distance hours later, as our stomachs duly chimed, Mama called come home now kids, it's almost supper time. Follow: FB, Instagram, Twitter: WVPoetrygirl

This was so wholesome, I loved it. Definitely put me in the mood for fall!
Thank you!
