Ring. Ring. Ring. It’s driving me insane. “Gosh can someone make it stop” I yell in the middle of 5th period. Everyone turns around and stares. Then I realize. I’m the only one who hears it. “Um excuse me Mrs. Beah can i see you for a minute” Mrs Shelton tells me. So I slowly get up and and cover my face. A couple kids laugh, most are quite though.
“If you keep randomly yelling in class, I will be forced to call your father.” She tells me.”Alright.” I tell her because I would prefer to not tell her why I yelled. Then of course the bell rings and the kids run out of classrooms like wild baboons. But I just stay and observe. Of course kids are stupid but I am more mature than them and understand this crappy world. I Lauren Beah know just how this world really is. It’s not all rainbows and sunshine like everyone thinks. I know this because I have experienced the bad stuff. You know like losing your mom when your 7 years old. Or having your stepdad be a piece of shit.
