The average American spends 5.5 hours a day on their phone so could it be affecting us? I would spend hours on my phone and couldn’t get any sleep. I wondered if my phone had anything to do with my sleep so I decided to do some research. I did a study and the results were surprising. I randomly asked 48 students at a middle school how many hours of sleep they get and how many hours they spent on their phones.
I found that the more time you spend on your phone the less sleep you receive. One person spent 5 hours on their phone and got only 4 hours of sleep. I asked another random person and they spent 1 hour on their phone and received 8 hours of sleep. If you want more sleep I recommend spending less time on your phone. I spent less time on my phone and I was finally getting enough sleep.
