Note:: This was written, by me, in first grade. It was book number nine (I lost the rest) in the L.A.M Book Series. I didn’t edit it at all, so you guys can see how bad of a writer I was back then, and how much I’ve improved. Enjoy!
Sarah, John, Winter, Jake were going to go on an adventure! But they don’t now where! Suddenly John said you now I herd That the Sea looks beatifull at dawn!
Okay!
Then thats where were going to go!
I can’t wait! Said Sara! Me too! Me too! Me too! All of them said! I wonder if we are going to see the lockeness Monster named Nessie? Said Winter.
2 days later!
Get your scooba geer! Said Jake. Ok! They said.
Let’s go! All of them said. 5 hours later!
I can see Nessie!
You make up the rest!
Note:: I hope you enjoyed my totally cringe-worthy story! As I said before, I did not edit anything at all. The picture to this is the horrible drawing of the loch ness monster that I drew. I’m not really sure what I was thinking when I wrote these short stories, but humor me. Points for dedication, right? I wrote like, thirty of these.
ANOTHER note:: ignore the bit of dirt on the cover, I dug this out of the very bottom of my writing drawer!

How sweet!
I once wrote a story about a ghost who wanted to be famous, illustrated it and all. My mom quickly tucked it away some place for the future, and strangely, not even she knows where it is now. I would do anything to read that story again.
Definitely keep this masterpiece, clean it up, and get some illustration, you don’t know where a simple story will lead.
I had a friend who actually got some of her elementary stuff published–so it’s possible. And if not that, when you become a well-known author it will be a good reminder of where it all started.
I know what you mean. I had a lot of these, and I can only find the one! I know I had a binder full of them, but when I moved, that was lost among the boxes. I would give up any one of my current stories to get the chance to read them!
