I mourn for the thoughts I’ve lost
Forever buried in my mind
That tumbled before barely born
Revelations I can’t find
They could’ve turned the earth around
To spin a different way
They might’ve told the moon to stop
Pushing tides away
Perhaps they’re better off no longer
Floating in my head,
Instead they now belong forgotten,
Forever left for dead.

What an interesting concept for a poem! I definitely relate to this because I have the worst memory and always lose my thoughts and can’t get them back.
