Sitting in the solitude of my heart
away from everything, falling apart
I ran away, or so they thought
I ran towards freedom from things to overcome.
Thinking of love and all that I’ve lost,
I looked for You forever walking without thought of the cost,
Trusting that what and who I left behind
Was safe in hands of true Divine.
“Wherever, lord, that I may be, Please don’t stay far from me!”
Preaching love, though mine was lost,
Killing Hate with humble cost,
learning lessons of Trust in You
Trusting that my love was true
though misguided by war and hate,
Seeking Treasured Gold filled my plate,
I ate it all and got real fat,
and now that’s why I’m where I’m at.
