If you heard the screams that tried to rip pass my throat, would that have been enough proof of my pain? I kept my sobs quiet so discomfort wouldn’t touch you. This is my battle alone even though I do it for us all. I keep my struggle behind four walls, privately breaking myself apart just to see you. I reflect your deepest desires but so does your fear. We have been fed clever lies that disguise me as your enemy. While you confuse my Integrity for disgrace, I will boldly stand here with passion thumping in my chest, ready to say, “I understand“
