It rained heavily all through the day, by the evening the rain slowed down from desperate strokes to soft, light droplets. It all appeared so heavenly, so fine in contrast to the rough, grey clouds that shadowed over the sharp green, fruitful trees. Everything mixed together created a view of distinct beauty. The wind blew lazily all over, left, right and it felt like it had something to fight. It stubbornly flowed through my lungs, into my heart…. and for that brief, beatific moment I did not fall apart. The assorted aromas, all mellowed softly together in the richness of nature. The rare fragrances that showered from the trees, the wetness of the leaves, and the freshness of the fruits sent my senses to transcendence. My taste buds stimulated with such pungent, spicy flavors that all I could do is calm my breathing and center my being. It is as if my soul has gone and left my body, only to be shocked and revived back to to life. The pool of warmth pouring from the heat of my body combined with the icicle, harshness of my surroundings, has drowned me in a trance of euphoria. I feel this ‘life’ inside of me blooming slowly, gradually…..shyly and suddenly I’m alive. There is no confusion, just curiosity. There is no emptiness, just an abundant feeling of completeness.
Life is not defined through the past, nor is it defined through the future. Life is defined through the present, the here and now. When we sew our souls to our body, we are making a commitment to ourselves, to nature, and to life. We are making a commitment to The Lord, and are preaching to the top of our lungs that we devout ourselves to live life to the fullest. We make a commitment to find the sincerity and beauty in the dimensions of our journey in life.

Wow, the use of metaphors and imagery throughout this poem is just fantastic! When we take a moment to stop and reflect on all of the things around us, like you have presented in this narrative, it can really change our perspective. Perhaps even make us more grateful for what we have and the things we get to see. The beauty of nature and the smells of the season are priceless. Beautiful job with this. Great job!
Thank you so much, i’m glad you enjoyed it. I think we all forget just how beautiful life truly is. We complain about the small things, the petty things and we forget about the important things that make the world truly amazing and most importantly life truly amazing.
