“I don’t feel like my shell today,” said the oyster.
Oysters, when living on the ocean reefs, will open and close their shells to do what they do…nourish themselves. They dig into the ground of sand on the ocean floor taking in grains of sand. That is how pearls are formed, pressured and tightened in the oysters shell onto the grains of sand. That’s how the oyster says, “I don’t feel like my shell today.” Because change is happening and it won’t open its shell. After many hours, days, even months and years the pearl will form and comes out the yucky slime by the hand of the shucker.
Moral of the Story:
When life is your oyster, be the pearl in the shell, not the slime.
