He was fire, a beautiful yet blistering flame. He gave off a warm glow, the kind of light that comforts you in the enveloping darkness. He was the kind of fire that keeps you warm on those cold winter nights, the type of warmth that makes you move closer and closer until suddenly you’re burning. But he was also the fire that would lick your skin, turning your body to ash; the fire that would ignite chaos when raging too brightly.
She was the wind, like the cool breeze on a summer day in July. She was like the crisp breeze you feel when you step into the night. When angered, she would spin into a violent tornado. The danger was bluntly printed in her eyes, but that didn’t heed his love.
Their love was magnificent, a wondrous dance of fire and wind. She was the oxygen he needed to keep his flame alive, and in return, he obliterated the cold of winter. Their love started off warm, but soon the ashes fell.
His warmth ignited her tantrums of wind, tornadoes of rage that flickered his flame. The cold of winter often soothed her soul, and they would then return to their inevitable dance of ash and tragedy.
However, one night, her rage blew too hard and snuffed out his spark.
Though their love was a dance of flame and wind, the wonderous serenity of divinity, they were natural enemies by order of Mother Nature. They were the king and queen of tragedy, and their love had become a burning garden.

Your imagery is really amazing in this. And I always love a good metaphor. great job!
This is beautifully written! My favorite part is the contrast between the characters and how they both have completely different sides to them. They way they initially compliment each other but then end up hurting each other is an intruding premise. You have a great grasp of nature imagery and use it throughout which makes the piece flow nicely. Great job!

I felt this! Better yet I felt everything. I love how your words created images and feelings.
