Never be ashamed to be exactly who you are. God made us unique for a reason, there is not another you and their never will be. So do you, and do it to the best of your ability. You may run into more opposition for not conforming to others lifestyles, but the ones that notice your attitude and confidence will have much greater respect for you.
We were given special gifts and skills by our creator, and if yours doesn’t look like something a human would call a talent then let them stay in the wrong. Some people are good with art, others have athletic ability, some are good at changing oil and still more are good at cleaning or raising cattle. All of these are skills that can be used to advance us in life, even if we don’t use them to make money, and ultimately to advance the kingdom. Everybody needs help with something, you just need to find out what you have to offer.
Don’t let anybody tell you you aren’t talented just because your skills aren’t in an area that is popular or seems to be highly desirable. If all of us were the same body part, how would the rest of the body exist? Everybody cant be a pro athlete or a rockstar, even though that would be sweet. I spent quite a bit of time in an industry where it is very common to cut people down, especially behind their back when they have no chance to defend themselves, and sadly I have become numb to it. But it has helped me learn to not care what others think as much knowing no matter how good I am or how often I do it I’m still going to hear cynical critics every where I go. I have learned to listen to my Creators opinions of me instead. He says that I am gifted, talented, useful, productive, blessed, favored, unique and a one of a kind master piece of art. Yes, you are all masterpieces too. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so just be careful whose opinion your letting in.
On the flip side of this we all have weaknesses too. For some they may be more obvious like addictions or some kind of illness, for others it’s much less noticeable such as apathy, hidden depression or low self-esteem. Some people, like myself, struggle with a combination of these. We have to learn what these weaknesses are and how to live with them so it doesn’t take us over and destroy us. Progression is about change and adaptation, which means we have to get out of our comfort zone and look at parts of ourselves we don’t like. There is nothing comfortable about change, yet oddly enough most of the time would rather stay in our pitiful comfort spot rather than try something unfamiliar. Driven by 100 types of fear I make no progress, driven by my creators productive vision for my life I over come. Why? Because He who is in you is greater than he that is in the world, and we can do ALL things through Him.
What are your gifts and talents? If you don’t know what do you really love to do? In my experience passion and drive equates to more skill than natural talent anyways. Those passions are there for a reason, use them, exploit them, take them for everything they are worth.

1 Corinthians 12:23-24- “The parts that we think are less important we treat with special honor. The private parts aren’t shown. But they are treated with special care. 24 The parts that can be shown don’t need special care. But God has put together all the parts of the body. And he has given more honor to the parts that didn’t have any.”
Ephesians 2:10- “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Romans 12:6- “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them.”
1 Peter 4:10- “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.”
