It is hard to describe the fire in one’s eyes
In more ways than one, fire can be a disguise
Hiding the fear and the cold for a moment
But water and shade from others is your greatest opponent
Let your fire shine brightly, go forward without doubt
For who knows at what time that your fire could go out?
It is not for your benefit, but for others, for mine
That you let your fire so brightly shine.
The effect of a fire is great in my sight
But do not let your fire grow quite so bright
For it can be destructive, if you let it grow stronger
Let your fire be gentle, so it can last a little longer.
But don’t let it go out, for in that lies despair
Let your fire be felt, and be willing to share.

Very good flow and rhythmic tone throughout! I like that this poem is almost like a life lesson meant to teach us how to effectively use the fire throughout our lives. There are ways to make it shine too much, too little or not at all. All are things to be cautionary of. It is that fire that drives us to our greatest destinations, and sometimes the lack of fire in us is what keeps us from taking steps towards any destinations. But that fire is meant to make us powerful and great as it shines through us and can project onto others too.
My thoughts exactly:)
