I Know
by
Curtiss L. Hayes, Jr.
Nature soothes and calms me but I don’t call it mother:
I know the Father
The universe blows me away but not from a Big Bang:
I know the Bang Maker
Life emerges from a tiny cell but I don’t thank the atom:
I know the Atom Builder
Body is pliable but I don’t envy those who shape it:
I know the Clay Molder
The mind has intellect but I don’t bow to science:
I know the Genius
Some things are better but I don’t credit evolution:
I know the Sustainer
Surgeons repair damage but I am not in awe:
I know the Healer
Man’s done great feats but I don’t praise human spirit:
I know He who is Spirit
We make babies but I can’t applaud men and women:
I know the baby Creator
