Three days, take one less.
Look at your watch,
Now one more less-
This is what is given,
This is what is left.
Only one given,
Only one left.
Take it.
Hold it.
Do not fret.
This one is here,
It is all that is left

Wow, I really, really love this! This is the perfect anthem for individuals that cannot find the motivation to get themselves up and out of bed to engage in life. We want to believe that we have all the time in the world to achieve things, but really, time passes by in the blink of an eye, and that is precisely what this poem tries to prove. There are days that are less productive than others; there are days where we simply lounge around and do nothing because we feel down or lazy; there are days where we have to dedicate ourselves to events that don’t interest us because of commitments. All in all, we don’t have as much as we think that we do, so that is why it’s so important for us to look at our days as limited – “take one less.” We have no idea when our deadline will come. Thus, we have to stop thinking that we have “Three days” but rather “Only one.” This poem, consisting of prominent lines such as “This is what is given, / This is what is left” and “Take it. / Hold it. / Do not fret” emphasizes the fact that we must take action right away, especially during matters that mean a lot to us. Through the words of this poem, you impress upon the audience the idea that our lives are equivalent to hourglasses – time is running out – but we also should not be afraid of that. The anticipation of death should not impede us but stimulate us to get everything that we want to get done, done. Embrace that one day because it might very well be your last.
I have only one note in regards to editing: there are a few instances where you put a comma where there should definitely be a period (or a semi-colon, depending on your preference.)
1) Line 2 – “Look at your watch” is an imperative sentence and should end with a period.
2) Line 3 – “This is what is given” is a complete sentence and should end with a period (or a semi-colon, which will help put emphasis on the similarity and consistency of Lines 3 and 4).
3) Line 11 – “This one is here” is a complete sentence and should end with a period.
4) Line 12 – You forgot the period at the end of the sentence. It happens!
But again, I seriously love, love, LOVE this poem! Extremely well done!
