The lagoon is sheltered, and safe.
The waves are gentle.
A sea turtle, by the beach,
where I enter the water.
My snorkel and fins are yellow.
Raccoon fish, yellow and black.
Harmless, they follow me. Three.
Like little ducklings while I swim.
A crab scurries along the reef,
and a puffer fish swims by.
The ocean is inviting here.
Creatures abound.
I spend hours, watching,
and swimming around.
Still, the raccoon fish.
My entourage follows me,
until the sun begins to set,
and I must leave them,
as I exit to the land,
taking off my yellow gear.
Farewell little ducklings.
