What was the point of going to college and furthering my education?
I’ve been here for twenty years and have gotten nothing during the duration.
I sell appliances in this crummy store.
I quit, I won’t work at this place anymore.
I have two years of college and nothing to show for it, it sure is a disgrace.
A high school graduate could do my job, I should’ve been running this place.
I’ve given you twenty years of my life and I’ve never received a promotion.
You are the worst boss on Earth, I have received nothing for my devotion.
I’ll get a better job at a place where my education will be appreciated.
It gives me a great deal of pleasure to tell you how much you’re hated.
All that I did was sell crappy appliances to people during my twenty-year career.
You can stick my job where the sun doesn’t shine, I’m glad to be getting out of here.

I’m happy for this dude.
Anyone who spends the kind of money that it takes to go to college deserves to own the whole world. I love this poem just like I love all your others. Although, for one line I think you should find a better word to rhyme with “appreciated” instead of “hated.” Not saying that it doesn’t rhyme but its not a perfect fit because “appreciated” has way more syllables than “hated.”
You’re poem really speaks to me. I complete understand what the speaker is going through. This poem really connects to a lot of young and older adults. I do suggest to shorten your lines and relook at some of your rhymes. Other than that it was a nice poem!
