A little boy’s father was passing away and standing by his bedside the boy plead daddy stay he looked over at his mama and cried maybe he’ll be OK If I get down on my knees and I pray. Mama took the boy’s hand said now you listen here young man, there’s something you need to understand. Though he does all that he can God might have another plan. Things don’t always get to turn out our way. wiping tears from his eyes, the little boy replied I don’t want daddy to die I don’t want to say goodbye so I’m going to say a prayer anyway. Closing his eyes tight, he prayed with All his might the little boy prayed God Please, God won’t you, please help me? See, I can’t make it on my own if daddy leaves us all alone I’ll be ok after I am grown But I need you please not to take my daddy home. As if from out of nowhere A calmness filled the air and the darkened room began to fill with light Then from his dying father heard the little boy these words Son, everything is going to be alright. From then on, since that day Though his father passed away the light shown him the way and he knows he’ll be ok, cause that’s the day he truly learned to pray.
