Three
Suddenly going to school seemed impossible. It was like that everyday, numbly going through the motions of getting ready. I felt like a zombie; just wandering through this seemingly endless lifetime, searching for something – not brains, might I add.
My best friend, Millicent “Millie” Peterson, was sitting on the bench by the fountain outside of our school: Fervor Prep. The statue of William Fervor was right behind her.
Like any other private school, our school was filled with rich guys who thought they were the shit, and queen bees who liked to “flaunt what they got.” Whoopdee-fricking-doo.
“You look like shit,” she told me, standing up and walking over to where I was leaned against the base of the statue.
“Why, thank you,” I said, smiling briefly as I adjusted my backpack on my shoulder. She smiled sarcastically at me before leading the way up the stone staircase. People were slouched on the rails, chatting meaninglessly with each other. I spotted Spencer’s best friend, Vince Brown, talking to one of his groupies.
I was in the back seat of Spencer’s car, our lips mashed together. I reached up a hand to hold onto his neck but he slammed it back down, definitely leaving a mark.
“Spencer,” I said, slightly distressed, as he started leaving open-mouthed kisses on his neck, biting down hard. Almost hard enough to draw blood. “Spencer, stop. What are you doing?”
His eyes were dark, taking on the look of a cougar mid-hunt. He didn’t look like himself. Spencer remained silent, reaching under my shirt and undoing my bra.
“Spencer, please stop,” I said. I wiggled my body, but his knee rested on my thigh, preventing me from moving. “Please.”
“Andy? Hello?” My gaze snapped over to Millie, tilting my head back to stop the tears from flowing.
That was the first time he’d raped me. And my first time.
“You good? You kind of spaced out,” she said, cocking an eyebrow. I smiled at her.
“Yeah. I’m fine.” And with that, I speed-walked into the building.
Why couldn’t I just tell her that I was suffering?

I like how we get a scene between Spencer and Andy here. We really get a good feel of who he is and this dark side that comes over him. I hope that we get to see both sides of him to really understand and see Andy’s battle. Will we get to see the first time that they met in the series? I think that would be a really interesting addition, and then we can compare it to present day with all that we know. I am enjoying reading this story and I am excited to read more!
