You keep the TV up too loud
You turn the knob there up to twenty
You make the voices seem to scream
You make the doorbell seem so deafening
You turn that TV up so loud
It drowns my ears with something terrible
You take the words right from my mouth
It’s like there’s water flooding into me
You can’t hear unless it’s loud
I guess I always seemed to whisper
But now even if I scream
I’ll never match that TV screen.

That last line really hit hard. Sometimes people just can’t appreciate what they have in front of them. The downfall of technology.
