I watch through my window in my warm and cozy home
as a single snowflake falls delicately to the ground
that follows with ten others.
Then, a surge of white madness and wind hurls over Minnesota
and curls through the snow-covered rooftops and trees on every street.
One icy blast would cover a house; that was once warm and tender
Into a cold and gloomy shelter.
And as I woke up the next day to take a peek outside-
I just knew that was quite the winter storm.
