What could I do,
to forget about you?
Nothing.
No nothing at all.
I’ll never forget,
the day that we met,
that afternoon in the fall.
The leaves were turning,
my heart was burning,
how I hoped,
that you would call.
But you didn’t need to,
for soon I’d see you,
and after that,
it was our first kiss.
To this day,
when you’re away,
it’s something that I miss.
Lips so soft,
I dream of them oft,
and then get lost in thought.
Eighteen years going strong.
I would break into song,
but you don’t want to hear me sing.
I believe in that love,
I really do,
more than I believe,
in anything.
