Where have you gone to my fire-touched love? Has Morpheus taken you to explore ethereal lands incomprehensible to the likes of me? My heart is open to the world. And the world is unkind. The world is a rose. And the rose has thorns. I saw the Fates cut your string. I saw the stairway descend before you from heights unfathomable. I saw the wheel of reincarnation spin as your next life was chosen. I saw the valkyries come and take your spirit to Valhalla. I saw Anubis weigh your heart upon his scale, and your heart was the lightest the god had ever seen. I love you. I love you. May all the gods rejoice upon your arrival, fire-touched love. May the angels weep as they had when God’s only begotten son was sacrificed. May all demons and their ilk cower at the strength of you. My fire-touched love? can you hear your beloveds calls? You who know no fear, go to them. Embrace them. Kiss them. And in time embrace me too when I heed your call.

Nice story narrated using norse mythology does require a good understanding of it. The pain of loosing a beloved , and the description of its noble value in the lines”I saw the valkyries come and take your spirit to Valhalla. I saw Anubis weigh your heart upon his scale, and your heart was the lightest the god had ever seen. I love you. I love you. May all the gods rejoice upon your arrival, fire-touched love. ” is described picturesquely , heart rending, and I was carried away by the intensity of its impact on reader. In my opinion the writer should give a brief synopsis and legend to better appreciate the story and readers will enjoy it greatly. A very nice rendering I liked the balanced narration. Keep it up.
