The first thing he noticed when he regained consciousness was that he was covered in blood. A lot of it. His hands, his arms, and legs. His whole body. Flint looked around him. Trying to understand what was wrong. Where had all this blood come from? He noticed that he was in the bathroom tub, his whole face laying at the bottom of it. Water trickling above his head and splattering his left cheek. He moved and let out a gasp of pain when his right arm made a loud popping sound. “Dammit!” He yelped. Flint looked behind him and noticed a trail of blood leading out to the kitchen. The hair on the back of his neck rose, he knew something bad had happened out there. But what? He thought he heard a tearing sound but wasn’t sure. “Dad?” He called out. He staggered to his feet, nearly falling on the pool of blood in front of the door. The sound stopped and he heard something skitter across the kitchen floor. Was it a cat? He froze when he saw the bodies. His mother’s and the next door neighbor’s. No, no, no… what was this? Blood literally covered the whole kitchen floor. He slipped and slid on the floor, running over to his mother’s body, tears streaming down his face. “No… no. Who did this?” He gently touched her face, noticing how cold her skin was. He turned to Miss Clinton’s lifeless corpse, sniffing and wiping his nose with a hand covered with blood, leaving a smear of crimson red across his cheek. The woman’s body was brutally stabbed. Knife holes in her stomach and the left side of her head. He reached out to touch her hair, but jumped back when her whole body seemed to come to life and thrash around. Her mouth opened and uttered a soundless scream, blood spurting up from her throat and splattering Flint’s face and shirt. He screamed, scrambling back as fast as he could. He watched in horror as the skin on her face started to crack and peel. Her lips started to foam, her eyes spun around in their sockets madly, and her body thrashed and kicked around, and then, as soon as it started, it was over. Flint let out a shaky gasp and backed up. What the hell was going on? He backpedaled until he hit the wall. His brain going into complete shock. A drop of blood fell down in front of him as he slumped down. Then another one, and then another one. He raised his head and looked up. His heart stopped and he froze. His mind telling him what he saw was nothing. But his eyes didn’t. He was looking straight into the eyes of Miss Clinton’s. Her face looked pretty much the same, but the side of her head was deformed and dripping blood. Her left arm was hanging limply down, dangling and fingers spasming and twitching. Her right arm was holding her up on the overhead rafters. He gasped when he realized that her body was broken and totally deformed. Her skin was crawling with black slime that pulsed and slithered on her whole body. “Whaa…” his mouth tried to say something. Anything. The woman leapt down in a flash, her bones making a cracking sound. She landed in front of him on all fours, crawling toward him, while staring him down with her green eyes. Flint started to scream, but before he could, she jumped on top of him. Slimy hand covering his mouth. He felt like he was suffocating, the slime and gore was sliding down his throat, making him gag and retch. “Do not make a sound.” She spoke in an inhuman voice. The words came out seconds before her mouth opened to utter them. The voice was cold and haunting. Chilling him to the bone. Blood and black gore dripped down on his face and neck. He was so frightened that he just literally blacked out. He felt the hand move down to his neck, the hot stinking breath of the woman on his face. What was going on?
