pull your legs apart like curtains in the morning.
The spit swapping serves us a warning.
replacing anything to feel that again.
arranging my overbite to make you happy;
How ugly and sappy..
You open the window to smoke a cig inside,
convinced that I lie.
“I’m happy in love.”
I’m like a carnival gold fish eyeing you for the win.
the watch on my phone tells me it’s past due,
I just want a glass or two.
bring me the bottle.
keep them coming, I’ve got some running to do.
Everyday sober is a fragmented shit show.
i feel like there’s not ground below.
My wife continues to blow…..
My body starts to tense…..
The birds leave the trees in a scatter!
The earth and its chaotic matter!

I enjoyed reading your poem. I really liked how you added a rhyme scheme. It makes the poem sound really nice. I loved the line where you compare the speaker to a goldfish at a carnival and (I assume the speaker’s wife) is the player trying to win. I never thought of an analogy like that before. You have some good talent!
