I was a teacher for 20 years and taught students of all ages, all grades, sincere and naughty and I loved my job. I did not buy supplies for students because I myself was poor but the text books were free from publishers every year for teachers.
Students did not know I had not slept some nights to check answer sheets. I had to teach some extra subjects which I studied only up to 10th grade. I had to study myself first. It was no fun to teach Maths to 8th class as I had studied Maths only up to 10th grade. They made fun of me in class. I was Economics teacher but the school gave me Geography to teach when I had no knowledge of ocean tides and full moon.
Thank you Principal, I know it now. I had to study all text books of Geography, History and Civics till 2 am. It was 20 years ago when we had no computer.
Some people spend all their lives looking for their passion, but not everyone finds it. It takes knowing yourself and experiencing different opportunities to find it. For people who know themselves pretty well, it takes less time. Someone who loves their job will never mind pulling up their sleeves to do extra work. People who love their job are always better at their job opposed to someone who doesn’t. Teaching is a very demanding job and individuals in that profession do not get enough credit for the hard work that they do.
