When she’s with him she feels her soul dancing
She feels so alive, woken
He makes her feel strong and secure
He was her hero
And she loved him for that
Without him, she could not maintain herself
He tamed her he calmed her down
Before him there were days at a time she would frown
He turned her frown into a smile

This was a lovely poem, but if I could make one suggestions, maybe try rearranging the wording in some of the lines. The great things about poems is that you can manipulate the language in a way you can’t do with prose. For example, instead of saying “And she loved him for that,” say, “And for that, she loved him.” It sounds a little more musical now.
