Just in case no one has said this to you today,
Or any other day,
I will say it to you.
There is beauty in you, splendor, light, hope, purpose, and curiosity.
And if you feel like you have nothing left because much more than your legs have been caught by vines of the dark body of the earth,
Know that you have me.
Friend, there is a sort of beautiful genius inside your body. Give her substance and let her speak.
She needs you. She.

Nice play on words. I love the positivity in this piece. The pronoun confuses me though… but overall it’s wonderful. Fantastic job!
I’m attempting to give women positive and feminist control over their self-esteem. She is a powerful word if used correctly. Thank you for your feedback and I am really glad you liked my piece! I hope to post more poetry.
I really like this piece. I particularly like how you said, “There is beauty in you, splendor, light, hope, purpose, and curiosity.” You could have chosen to say, “You are beautiful”, but the way you said it holds so much more meaning.
I think saying someone is beautiful is too common, too vague even, The Poet has to be willing to extend his/her vision of every word. Thanks for your feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
