He
He broke my heart and it fell to pieces
He broke the covenant we had together
He broke the trust and made things a mess
He broke my heart when he fell for her
He changed and began to lie
About this, that and everything
He changed and I began to cry
About him, us and the ring
At one time the ring meant so much
I was excited, so very happy
I thought he was moved by my touch
Oh, how wrong I was, so surprisingly
He eventually stopped being my husband
He was lost in sin
He started to be someone else’s man
And hurt the marriage he was in
He, my husband, my head
Was pulled into this thing
He, my husband, my man
Broke the meaning of our rings

This is a very well written poem. I could feel your emotion while I was reading it. The rhyming scheme that you used helped to tie the whole piece together. “I thought he was moved by my touch.” This line is extremely powerful, and evokes a great amount of emotion. We are all disappointed by someone at one point in our lives. We are misled, and played with. It is never our own fault. People change, and sometimes its for the worse. We cannot blame ourselves.
Thank you. I Don’t blame myself
