This is the year everybody! Sophomore Year!
The twins have a teacher named Mr. Hooton.
Just be aware, the twins have their overpower,
History with this teacher, he’s the one rooting.
Maxie and Rosie’s mother and father so proud,
They cry that their young ones are all so grown.
Never will they ever look back on their troubled,
The twins can’t wait to be in their cap and gown.
The teacher wanted them to be smart in History,
Giving them a test on what he had ever taught.
Just as they began, of course, Rosie wasn’t ready,
She panicked as she feared all worse overthought.
Haven’t you’ve been taught this lesson before?
I can’t believe how I haven’t ever studied this.
If she didn’t take it, Rosie gets an F for failure,
Maxie tries to soothe her for it’s just only a test.

Your poem was really interesting. I was drawn in by the title (mainly because I am a twin myself). I really liked the line “Just be aware, the twins have their overpower”. It made me think of my sister and me having our own sisterhood connection that we could defeat anything together. Your poem was really enjoyable to read; yet, I was having a hard time understanding the message. At first, I thought the poem was about sisterhood, then I thought it was about graduating and helping the girls pass high school. My suggestion, go back and reread the poem out loud and put more hints to the reader what the message is. Other than that, you wrote a very nice poem!
