I am more than what you see me to be.
You see a rainstorm,
but I am a hurricane.
You see a weak child,
but I am a soldier.
I am also human.
I fall,
I trip,
I stumble,
and I make mistakes.
But I also fight,
persevere,
and push myself to get back up again.
You have no idea who you are dealing with.
I’m not just a weak yell into the void.
Honey, I’m the roar that will rock your world.

I really love the rhythm in this poem. Reading it out loud is really satisfying. Great job!
thank you 🙂
Can I get this tattooed on my back?
I definitely can relate to this poem. I know how it feels to be overlooked and passed up, yet people are not even slightly aware of all that you are capable of.
I love the structure of this poem, and comparisons you used. I do feel that the ending can be stronger. I would experiment with different rhymes to make sure that it really punches the audience in the gut. Figuratively of course.
thank you. and I appreciate the constructive criticism, I’ll work on it.
