The world was a better place
When I was with you,
Though it hurts to be far away
I’ll forever miss you,
You’re my favorite for sure
Among all the stars,
Our connection was real
We met in no bar,
And when you read this
you’ll know who you are,
This beautiful girl
I met under full moon,
Our relationship was pure
But ended too soon,
As I look back I thank you
For the lesson you taught,
About love being true,
No one will ever take your spot,
Though I reminisce to sky blue,
If we should give it another shot,
I think a little more for health’s sake not,
It’s Nothing personal,
We’re just too powerful
To be with eachother,
And now that I’m celibate
Wouldn’t be fair to one another,
But always know deep down,
My love for you holds ground,
As sure as silence makes no sound,
By my vow to God I’m bound,
Nevertheless
Doesn’t mean I care for you any less,
And saying these very words
Brings some pain to my chest,
As I wish that we could’ve met in another life,
Had 2 dogs, Share a Home, even call you my wife,
But now I know that it is just a dream,
And maybe I’ll wake up one day
With you on my team,
As crazy as it may seem,
I play with these words to show you the game,
That we both played in the fast lane,
Where we both had different paths to claim,
In the end I’ll always remember your name,,,
